October brings a fresh set of improvements to help you work smarter with Sales Quotes. This release brings a set of powerful improvements that make creating, managing, and updating quotes smoother than ever. Whether you are a sales rep looking to work faster or an admin trying to simplify configuration, these updates are designed to remove friction and support real-world quoting scenarios.

1. Item-Level Ship-To for Sales Quotes

You can now manage shipping information with much more precision. A dedicated Ship-To field at the line-item level allows each product in a quote to be shipped to a different location when needed.

Key Capabilities

  • Each line item gets its own Ship-To assignment, giving full flexibility for multi-destination shipments.

  • New items automatically inherit the header-level Ship-To, while still allowing overrides.

  • Complete Ship-To details, such as address, contact info, and more, are visible right at the item level.

Why It Matters

Sales reps gain greater control and accuracy when working with customers who operate across multiple locations. This leads to cleaner quotes and a smoother customer experience thanks to precise, per-item shipping options.

Use adaptation to add the Parties section to the product line item detail view

2. Configurable Default Durations for Quote Dates

You now have full control over how key quote dates behave. Instead of relying on fixed system logic, admins can define their own default durations for both Quote Validity End and Requested Date.

Key Capabilities

  • Configure the default duration for Quote Validity End (e.g., creation date + X days).

  • Configure the default duration for Requested Date in the same flexible way.

  • System behavior now aligns with your business rules and not hard-coded values.

Why It Matters

Organizations can tailor date defaults to match their sales cycles and customer expectations. Reps get consistent, predictable date behavior without manual adjustments, reducing errors and speeding up quote creation.

Getting Started

Navigate to Settings → Sales Quotes → General to define your preferred default durations for Validity End and Requested Date.

3. Mass Edit Capability in Sales Quotes

Sales reps can now bulk-update multiple quotes in one action, making large-volume quote management faster and more efficient.

Key Capabilities

  • Sales reps can now select multiple quotes directly from the Sales Quote List view and update shared fields in a single action.

  • Updates are applied simultaneously across all selected quotes, eliminating the need to open each document individually.

Business Benefit

  • Simplifies management of large quote volumes, improving workflow efficiency.

  • Saves significant time by replacing repetitive single-quote edits with one consolidated update.

Getting Started

  • This capability is available by default in the Sales Quote List view.

4. Registered Products in Sales Quotes

Sales reps can now directly search and add registered products to the assets a customer already owns right inside the quote. And when a quote is created from a case, its registered products are automatically copied over, giving you a head start.

Why it matters

This enhancement makes it much easier to build quotes based on existing customer assets. Reps spend less time searching and more time preparing the right offer, with accurate context from the start.

Getting Started

Use adaptation to add the Registered Products section to the quote detail view, and begin selecting customer-owned assets as part of your quoting process.

5. Sales Quote APIs Now Live on SAP Business Accelerator Hub

Developers and partners can now access the Sales Quote APIs directly from the SAP Business Accelerator Hub, making it simpler to integrate, automate, or extend quoting processes across systems. Link for direct access Sales Quote Service

It opens the door for deeper integration scenarios, smoother data flows, and more flexible custom solutions.
