Use Cases
As part of SAP sales and service cloud solution we allow customer to embed external application(running on a different domain) inside an iFrame using a mashup or as an standard configurations.
Different use cases where applications are embedded inside sap sales and service cloud can be :
- SAP analytics cloud
- SAP S4 Hana applications (e.g Create/Display service order)
- Applications running on BTP / Build apps
- Knowledge based
- any other customer integration with their third party applications
Short term solution
Please refer SAP note 3409306 for details :
SAP Sales and service cloud V1 and V2 has already implemented the top level deprecation trial token (1PDT) . This will enable customers to continue using cross domain embed till Dec 2024 (as per issued timeline by google).
Permanent Solution
All embed application need to migrate to support CHIPs and storage access API . Details available as part of SAP Note 3409306.
In addition we may have to wait for further roll out from google as it has revised its strategy regarding the third-party cookie deprecation and will introduce a feature to allow users to choose how Google Chrome behaves. While the use of the Privacy-Sandbox features is still relevant, the timelines and potential impact might change. We will update the blog according to Google’s guidance as soon as we know more.
