Happy New Year! πŸ₯‚ 

I know the end of February may be a bit late to still be saying that, but this is technically my first post of 2025, so I’m going to relish saying it one last time!

Each new year inevitably brings change, excitement and opportunity for improvement. It’s on that note that I'm pleased to share the highlights from an already busy and exciting start to 2025 at SAP Emarsys.  

But first, if you noticed a slightly different look and feel about Emarsys, you’re not just imagining things. To kick off the year, we rebranded to SAP Emarsys including a fresh new logo, color palette, and imagery. But it’s not just cosmetic, we’ve applied the SAP style throughout the product UI and experience and even moved our product documentation to the SAP Help Portal to take advantage of the powerful capabilities of the knowledge base. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to helping our customers deliver omnichannel excellence at scale and achieve business outcomes. So, with that let’s dive into our Q1 product release, jam-packed with impactful updates and innovative new features to increase productivity, simplify delivering exceptional customer experiences, and help you generate revenue and results more efficiently. 

Extensible, Scalable Platform Updates 

To deliver meaningful customer engagements in the moments that matter, you must be able to connect, manage, and activate your data from source and to any channel. Our latest extensible platform updates help you do just that: 

Connect to data from anywhere: 

  • Batch Sales Data API (Pilot): Simplify large scale sales data loads, now with self-service configuration and data quality monitoring tools 
  • Engagement Events (Pilot): Connect to events from any source to power segmentation, personalization and real-time marketing engagements 
  • Account Engagement: B2B marketers using SAP Emarsys and Sales Cloud can now see a simplified overview of account data and begin to target key groups with the Account Fact Sheet and Account-based Segmentation 

Activate across your ecosystem: 

  • Digital Ads with Criteo: Build ad audiences from SAP Emarsys data and activate on commerce and content publisher sites 
  • Mercaux: In-Store Tactics: Notify store associates about key customer events to take action 

Additionally, we’ve rolled out several features which will help customers get the most out of SAP Emarsys whether your business is expanding or you’re already operating at scale. 

  • Consent Management Tool: Gives admins control to review and accept terms to enable key features, like the popular AI-Assisted Subject Line Generator 
  • Asset Tagging: Offers an efficient way to categorize and filter your assets  
  • Embedded SAP Support Ticketing: Enables SAP customers to open and manage support tickets directly from SAP Emarsys 
  • Accelerated Adoption Services Package for SAP Emarsys: A new offering with dedicated experts to help you make the most of your investment 

Intelligent, Omnichannel Innovations 

Omnichannel and personalization remain at the heart of what we do, which is reflected in many of the updates in this release enhancing marketers’ capacity to execute their strategies and engage with customers how and where they prefer to interact.  

Content & Channel Innovations 

  • Omnichannel Content Blocks: Our new standard for building and distributing content across channels adds support for In-app messaging and a new Brand Center (pilot) 
  • Mobile Messaging: Updates include enhanced segmentation with Mobile App & SMS data plus the ability to use Multiple Short Codes in a Single Account  
  • Mobile Wallet: Scale campaign creation with a Copy Campaign button, segment based on Mobile Wallet data (pilot), and push notifications when passes are updated (pilot) 
  • Conversational Channel: Support more languages with use of the IETF field, expand use cases with support for Mobile Wallet campaigns, add interactivity with CTA buttons for WhatsApp, engage in dynamic dialogue with Conversational Messaging (pilot), and measure the impact with revenue attribution 

AI-powered intelligence and personalization 

  • AI-Assisted Product Finder (Pilot): Utilize natural language search to curate the right products for your campaign 
  • AI-Assisted Report Builder (Pilot): Query your data and build ad-hoc reports with the help of generative AI 
  • Email Domain Reporting: Get improved visibility into domain performance and spot potential deliverability issues with a refreshed report UI and new functionality
