In this blog post, I'll introduce you to all the Enablement Offerings and Trainings available for SAP Commerce Cloud.
What We Offer
As part of the Commerce team, also known as Education SAP Commerce Cloud under Product Learning CRM and Customer Experience of SAP Learning, we develop and manage training and enablement content for SAP Commerce Cloud. Our essential offerings include:
- Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs)
- Guided E-Learning Journeys
- Hands-on Practice Systems
- Live Sessions
- Bite-sized Video Learnings
Let's explore each offering in detail.
Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs)
Our ILTs, led by authorized SAP instructors, provide real-time interaction for inquiries and feedback. In addition to covering essential theory explained by the instructors, these sessions include important hands-on exercises, allowing participants to apply and experience the knowledge they have gained.
In terms of delivery formats, we provide:
- In-person Training: Traditional classroom style with experienced instructors.
- Virtual Live Classroom (VLC): Online training via secured platforms like Zoom, maintaining the same quality and content as in-person sessions, while learners can attend the training directly from within the company or even home.
- Hybrid Training: Combines in-person classroom sessions with simultaneous Virtual Live Classroom (VLC) broadcasts, providing flexibility for learners to choose their preferred mode of attendance.
In addition to the different ways of delivery, the ILTs can also be booked via:
- Public Trainings: These sessions follow a predefined schedule accessible to learners worldwide. You can find the schedules directly on the individual training pages in the SAP training shop, typically listed right after the course information section.
- Private Trainings: Tailored to meet your specific needs, you can request customized training sessions. Simply scroll to the bottom of the individual training page where you'll find the "Can't find a suitable date?" section offering two options:
- Request a training date: Ideal for booking when you have 1-2 learners.
- 3 to RUN training: Suitable for groups of 3 or more learners, allowing you to organize a dedicated session. Fill out the request form with the necessary details, and you'll be contacted for further arrangements.

Guided E-Learning Journeys
For those who cannot dedicate time to attend ILTs directly but want to learn SAP Commerce Cloud at their own pace, we offer several dedicated guided E-Learning journeys. These are perfect for building in-demand SAP development skills.

Please note that all the E-learning journeys are categorized by proficiency levels:
- Beginner level: Foundational concepts with no prior experience needed.

For many of these E-learning journeys, hands-on practice systems are also available, which I'll explain next.
Hands-on Practice Systems
Our practice systems are perfect for learners eager to gain hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud but who cannot attend dedicated training sessions (or even after attending but want to redo the exercises). Each practice system includes:
- A live, pre-configured SAP VM with a ready-to-run SAP Commerce Cloud Server.
- Learning materials available on the VM for self-study, mirroring conventional training content:
- Presentation slides in PDF format covering theoretical concepts (especially from ILTs).
- Step-by-step exercise PDFs to guide your learning journey.
- For technical training practice systems:
- Pre-installed and configured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse or VSCode.
- Exercise source code and solutions.

Live Sessions
Our live sessions are led by SAP-authorized instructors and provide opportunities for real-time questions and discussions. These sessions differ from ILTs in several ways:
- Shorter Duration: Live sessions typically last 1-2 hours or are split into several short segments.
- Focused Content: Each session hones in on a single module, component, or use case of a feature within SAP Commerce Cloud.
- Up-to-date Information: Since they target specific topics, they are more frequently updated than courses covering multiple modules.
- Accessibility: Free for SAP employees (with SAP Learning Hub internal edition) and customers/partners with a valid SAP Learning Hub subscription.
