I was blogged forward by by @DanielMateo in this blog post. It’s always a pleasure to be back at the "Blog It Forward" challenge and be invited by a great promoter of knowledge sharing. I appreciate the invitation, Dani!

I’ve shared my story here in my previous BIF years ago, but a lot has changed since then. Today, I’m still fully connected to the SAP ecosystem working remotely, leading projects, and training professionals, but with a lifestyle that’s much more balanced. I live in Recife, close to nature and, most importantly, close to what matters most: my wife and our two amazing teenagers. Working from home since 2020 has given me more focus and the space to live with greater purpose.

I go to the gym every day to lift weights. It’s been part of my routine for years. As I focused more on physical health, I also started paying closer attention to my spiritual life.

Outside of SAP, what I love most is traveling with my wife and two kids. Our favorite destination is Porto de Galinhas. Every time we can, we go there. We wake up early, walk on the beach with our golden retriever Bolt, and enjoy a weekend barbecue.

When we don’t go to the beach, we drive to the countryside in Bonito/PE, is one of our favorite palece. Hiking, waterfalls, rappelling... and Bolt always comes with us. He loves swimming in rivers and lakes near to the many local waterfalls. After all that, he usually sleeps for over a full day to recover.

One fun thing I’ve discovered recently is hiking with dogs. Yes, we go in groups, each person bringing their dog. It’s a fun mess ... a good one! Occasionally, Bolt gets into trouble with other dogs. He’s usually sweet, but not always 🙄.

About my activity in SAP world, I recently shared my story in the SAP Community Member Spotlight, I continue to share content on my social media channels (Youtube, Linkedin and Instagram), while leading SAP projects and actively supporting SAP Community events. My journey in the SAP Community goes beyond technology. It’s a place where I found purpose, friends, and amazing opportunities.

Thanks for reading this far. See you online, at the next SAP event, or maybe even on a trail, in nature, hiking with Bolt.

Now, answering Dani’s question:

With SAP's continuous push toward cloud-based solutions, how do you see the role of traditional SAP consultants evolving over the next 3–5 years?

The traditional SAP consultant must evolve and no longer just do system configurators. But to be business process designers. Those who understand integration, see the business value, and can explain it clearly will stand out. At the end of the day, it's all about turning complexity into real results for clients.

To continue the Blog It Forward, I nominate @RobertaFernande@michellemachado and @SimoneAzevedo and leave them this question:

With S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and BTP evolving rapidly, what do you think is essential for SAP clients to stay ahead in technology and digital transformation in the coming years?
