Thank you! I've actually have been reading a book on the universe and constantly thinking about your idea about the moon and gravity and all that !

Wow, I'm amazed to have some thought provoking effect.
What did You learn from the book? Something practical? Did You find some answers? Or are You left with even more questions?
Mostly I get even more questions...

Absolutely more questions, without a doubt more questions. Although this book is 10 essays on the universe written in more plain English as opposed to some of the scientific papers I've been trying to understand on Astrophysics.

Well, the universe is quite a complicated place to be. Isn't it?
Even more puzzling is the fact that the chance that something like our earth exists is ex.............xtremely low. And IF you find it, is it still there when you get there?
...and even more questions.

I watched a video the other day that broke down the statistical probability of planets like Earth in the known universe - absolutely fascinating to think about.

Yeah, define 'known universe'. Due to the ever faster expansion over 90% is not even visible, any more(=combined speed is over speed of light). In the lo........ong run only our Milky way + Andromeda are relevant for search(The latter is the one and only galaxy coming closer).
If no wonder happens, we won't live to see earth 2.0 (except we reincarnate our own planet. No other planet in this solar system has the approximate mass + a magnetic field(not to mention habitable zone)).
But don't forget: In 100 Million years our sun shifts one gear up. Then warming your home won't be an issue, any more.
Have a sunny day!
