Hi Folks,
Glad to be a part of the SCN community. I am current working in a SAP Staffing Company doing both SAP Recruitments & Resume Marketing. As I deal with SAP Technologies have developed my interest to enter into the SAP world. I am not from technical background hence can anyone please suggest me which functional module I can choose in SAP as a career and which modules will have good demand in future.
Kindly help.
Thanks!
Ritesh

Ritesh,
Please tell us more about domain experience. As if you are only from recruitment background and have some knowledge about other HR areas, you can opt for SAP HR.
SAP itself is in great demand and it depends upon an individual how he/she drives his career and create demand for their profile. Please answer following questions to recommend you some options:
1. Is this your first job in recruitments?
2. Do you have any experience in HR?
3. Do you have any other experience other than recruitment?
4. What is your education background?
Regards
Shanu.

Hi Ritesh
From your recruitment background what have your learned about the SAP products other than technology areas? Have you heard much about the SAP HR functional area? If you like recruiting background, etc you might find a pathway using your industry knowledge and experience.
Demand, etc really depends on where you are located. Why not use some of your recruitment experience to search local job portals and see what is sought out for a skill? This may help you understand where the demand in (though it may also tell you where the supply is as well).

Hi Ritesh,
From the information you provided above, I believe that SAP HR is the best module for you and with your domain experience you can certainly excel in talent management within SAP HR. Once you get on the projects, you can start gaining experience in other areas as well. For SAP projects all the skills and modules are equally required and in demand. It depends upon consultant, how they can drive their career by grasping the new tools alongside. More than skills, SAP Solutions creates the urge in the businesses to implement it and thereby demand is created.

Dear Ritesh
After 3+ years in HR, switch to other modules is not recommended. SAP HR (SAP-HCM) has wide potentials. ELCM and talent management would be best fit for you.
