which module would be the best for my CS background?

hi guys,

I've done my master degree in Computer Science last year 2010 and I'm working in an IT company as an ETRM consultant "Energy Trading and Risk Management".

I have to moved to learn a functional module and my concern is that which one would be better for me and my future to learn. I have option of three: MM, HR and FI/CO.

Currently, I'm reading some info about all these module .. but for sure I don't have enough time to understand all in a short period beside I have to decide ASAP. could you please give a hand

Hi,

Very good decision to get training of SAP module. Firstly, you have not written your experience background. but anyways here are some important things which u need before SAP training.

you need technical knowledge that u have from CS. you need min 2 to 3 years of domain experience to understand the SAP ERP concepts. If you have any materials & production related experience than you can go for MM module. if you have HR related domain knowledge than you can choose HR module, and lastly if you have financial background than you can choose FI/CO module.

Above all, first you have to find out your area of interest. If you want to do employee or human resource management , than HR module will help you to make ur career in SAP. If you want to controll and plan the budget , financial management of the organization than you should choose FI/CO.

You can choose according to your interest. All modules are very important for the organization. and with SAP career will be bright.

Second thing, when u finish your SAP certification, you'll be considered as fresher in SAP with any module. but in that case also, certification will give you greate opportunity. And choose any SAP authorized training partner for training.
