Hello.. I'm new to this world of SAP. I hear people saying SAP has a bright future and so on..
Coming to me, I'm currently working as a Business Analyst in an ITES firm. I'm having 3 years of total experience in which my first 2 years was into HR (Pre-Recruitment) and 1 year as a BA.
I'm having a plan to take up a SAP course but i'm not sure which module I should take up. Frankly speaking, I don't know how to start up with. I've completed by B.Com and then MBA (HR & MKTG).
I shifted my career to BA from a HR just because I wanted to move into a consultant kind of role with decent package in an MNC. For this shift, I did a Certification in Business Analysis from IIBA endorsed Partner.
Now i'm planning to do this SAP as well. Will this add any sense to my profile for my future endeavor. I believe you people could guide me in keeping a right foot step in a right path.

Welcome to world of SAP Asif. Nice to hear you want move into the SAP career. From the experience and knowledge you have gathered(seeing ur inputs), you can try to be Business Analyst or a Functional Consultant in modules like SAP HR, SAP finance or any other module you are interested.
Before planning to take a certification, just go through the different modules (for a Functional role/Business Analyst) available in SAP and understand in which you are interested and which you are familiar with. Then try to gather information and plan out your certification.
Let me know if your interested, I will provide u more inputs which might be useful to you.
Thanks,
M M Jaffer.

Assalamu Alaikum Jaffer..
Thanks a lot for your reply... Moving forward I've found 4 institutes in my locality who are SAP partners. I don't know on which criteria I should select one among them. If you could guide me from the scratch it would be really helpful.
Moreover if you can tell me how in real time a guy like me who is new to SAP can get placed in a MNC after completion of certification. Many tell 100% Placement assistance and I don't know on what basis they send the candidates to the companies.
Awaiting for ur reply...
Regards,
Asif J.

Wallaikum salaam Asif. I am not very sure on what basis companies recruit people who have completed their certification. But SAP certified person with his no. of experience does make a difference and that is what companies are looking for. i.e. What am trying to say is: having certification is an added advantage for a particular role and that depends on company to company.
As far as I know,MNCs will look for a candidate with good positive attitude, flexible taking up challenges. And with SAP module, it is good to get exposure to lot of case studies, work on demo projects ,get to know the business scenarios during your course in SAP partner institute.
Also in SDN website, you can go through the forums, blogs, queries etc, under which you want to have your career through which you can gather lot of knowledge and make decisions as well.
There are opportunities available for freshers to join the functional role/Consultant role for MBA degree holder in leading MNCs. Since you already have a MBA degree and have done Certification in Business Analysis, and planning to go SAP certification in SAP module, I feel it will not be difficult for you to get a job in MNC with a good role and a decent package.
All the best.
Thanks.
