1. which SAP module suites me SAP BO BI or SAP ABAP+BI?
I would suggest to go with SAP BW/BI first. Then get some hands on experience on ABAP.As you are already from programming background so learning the concept should not be challenging for you.BW related ABAP is not that vast and tough compared to hard core ABAP.
BO is another reporting tool which you can learn as well. Its more about practice and exploring different options in that tool.
2. what are the prerequisites for SAP BO BI and as well as SAP ABAP+BI?
For BW/BI there is no prerequisites but if you have basic knowledge of data warehousing then its an add on advantage. For ABAP of course basic skills of logic and syntax that anyways you can pick up as soon as you start learning it.
3.is ABAP hardcore programming?i m not good in programming can i learn SAP ABAP+BI easily?
Yes indeed.
4.is there job opening in market for abap+bi consultant as a fresher?
NO Idea..But definitely where there is a will there is a way.
5.is there requirement to learn SAP ABAP then go after for SAP BI?Can i learn SAP BI without knowledge of ABAP directly?
Yes you can learn BW/BI alone but knowledge of ABAP will definitely help you as you may have to require coding in any of the project you work on so better learn it.
6.is SAP ABAP+BI one module or both are different module?
Both are different module but usually companies look for a person who has knowledge in BI and ABAP so that they do not have to hire other resource for BI related ABAP work
I would suggest to read all career related blogs of the following person http://scn.sap.com/people/ravisankar.venna/content
They are really inspirations and he has covered most of the aspects and queries which usually fresher has before jumping into SAP world.
In current scenario,Its like Jack of all master of one.

Hi Wasim,
1.which module should learn first ABAP or BI?
First learn ABAP (Suggestion) then you will get good knowledge in SAP ,After learning ABAP You can Judge yourself which module suits for you .
2.is there any need to learn SAP ABAP before go for SAP BI?
It is not mandatory, For freshers Sap BI job openings will be less Compared to ABAP. That's why i suggested you to learn ABAP.

HI Anshu thnx for ur kind reply...it would be help me to opt out right sap module for me..i would like to ask that....
1.if i go for SAP BI module then is there any hardcore need to learn ABAP first then learn SAP BI?
2.Someone said in thread that BI used 40% coding part so its necessary to learn ABAP first?
3.IS it true that BI job opening is less compare to ABAP as a entry level or as a fresher?
thnks waiting for ur valuable response.

Hi,
For your following two questions i will have a common answer.
1.if i go for SAP BI module then is there any hardcore need to learn ABAP first then learn SAP BI?
2.Someone said in thread that BI used 40% coding part so its necessary to learn ABAP first?
I know people who are working in BW/BI since long without any knowledge of ABAP programming. They do not even understand a simple program as well. Its not that they cant learn it but its a matter of interest. And as you grow old,get into comfort zone then become more reluctant to pick up something new.
But in your case as you are planning to take up the job as fresher i would suggest you to learn BW related ABAP as this will come handy in your job.You do not have to depend on separate ABAP resource when ABAP requirement comes up in the project.Don't be afraid of programming, make a note that ABAP is pretty easier than other programming languages.Even i am not an expert in ABAP but still i manage to write the code as i am aware of concepts and syntax.Rest you can find on SCN and google.
Its like pitching the right thing at right time.
3.IS it true that BI job opening is less compare to ABAP as a entry level or as a fresher?
I mentioned in my last reply as well that i have no idea related to market for freshers.Might be few companies still entertain freshers and train them on real time projects and once the candidate gets confident then they deploy them to some client place.
Always focus on basic of everything you learn. The concept is is simple if you know the ABCD then making a word out of it and then sentence will be a cake walk but if its other way around then things get really messed up.
So wish you all the luck and take a wise decision.

Hi ,
1. if i go for SAP BI as u suggest me then will my previous years of experience help me for learning SAP BI?
Java and Web development will not make any count if your learn SAP BW/BI.But as per my knowledge if you learn SAP EP (Enterprise Portal) then your java experience will be counted.
2. if i go for a job interview as a SAP BI fresher will company consider my previous years of experience(2.5 years in java n web development) and my domain knowledge or will consider me as a fresher?
Same as above..Most of the companies will not consider it but exceptions are there. You never know.
3. going to SAP BI fresher... is it new start up or beginning of my career in SAP technologies?
Yes of course in SAP world you will be considered as fresher only and in SAP technology as well
Hope that helps.

Hi mr wasim.
Tha ABAP is easy compared to other languages since:
1-You do not need to open the database to select data from the database.
2-lot need not be scheduled because as we are within the ENVIRONMENT sap leaves much ready to just call abap.
3-You program within the SAP environment.
4-just take basic logic.
5-Obviously dedication and much study is needed.
Learn first ABAP to undestand the debug and after the BI .
go step by step.
I hope Helped you.
