Modules suitable:

FICO

MM/SD

Choose any module and concentrate well. Don't jump into multiple modules.

Over a period of time you will get in touch with all other modules.

Though you have indicated about your qualification, you have not indicated about what exactly your job profile is as a SAP end user. Which module, you are taking care. If you are an end user taking care of finance, then, you can learn ERP Finance. It would be more beneficial if you have friends who are SAP FI consultants so that both of you can spend some couple of hours time during week ends. Apart from that, you instal IDES in your personal desktop so that you can practice on your own after going through various tips from SCN. Long way to go and All the Best

what was your role being End user of SAP?

It depends on many factors but most important thing is your experience you already have.

FICO - integration with MM/SD (As suggested by Pavan)

also consider new S/4 HANA Simple Finance (once you know Basic FICO). That's the future!
