Hi

Certification is definitely useful in long run. You can get preference over other candidates for interviews and also can demand better remuneration hike in future.Few of my friends got even 100% remuneration hike for being certified.

2 months is not a very long time to wait for a fresher.Keep the preparation on. Best of luck.

ganesh,

I agree with Braj, you should be ready for a "long struggle" to land a job and break into the SAP market. Be prepared for a 2 year struggle! Most important during these difficult years will be that you need to fuel your motivation, read standard SD theory everyday, prepare in the test system everyday.

SAP certification, maybe from the past 5 years, guarantees one thing i.e. incur an expense

These coaching, training etc. institutes are after a profit and your money...it is beyond any organizations capacity to give some one a job and a career. For that you need to keep working and keep providing value to your employer.

Hi,

I agree with you for freshers yes there are issues.

My suggestion is to take up any opportunity with a prime objective of gaining work experience post certification.

Certified consultants have a bright future provided they have minimum 2 yrs of work exp.

All the best & don't give up.

Hi Ganesh,

Apart from job, SAP certification helps in following ways

1) SAP logo on resume

2) You can start your answer i.e. I am certified SAP consultant to Question - Describe yourself.

3) Certification will add value to LinkedIn profile.

4) Clients from middle east countries prefers SAP certified resource.

5) Accepted & recognised globally.

6)  Syllabus of certification designed in such a way that certified resource always conceptual clarity regarding fundamentals.

7) Lifetime validity

Regarding getting job as fresher, no doubt, its tough job.

Keep trying hard. One day you will emerge as a winner.

My blog might help you -
