what is the scope for Diploma based SAP consultants?

hi, i am ashish.i have finished my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have 4 years experiance in Quality Assurance.I want to do SAP MM.Is there any scope for Diploma based SAP consultants.Will I be considered as a fresher and what are my job prospects?Plz advice

Hello Asish,
Good that you know SAP MM will be the module you will have career prospects with.
To answer your queries; here they are:

1. Is there any scope for Diploma based SAP consultants.
Ans: Education background does not have anything to do with SAP Skills generally but its always good to have a prospective profile. As you can clearly see which looks heavier an MBA with specialization and also SAP certification or a plain graduate with no certification.
For functional consultants usually MBA is what the employers look for but you have already industry experience so not to worry much. And yes there are bright prospects for SAP MM Consultants.
If you clear the certification of SAP then nothing like it.

2. Will I be considered as a fresher?
Ans: Yes infinite times yes. That means this is the most tough phase you will face. But that does not demotivate you from being an SAP Consultant  i guess  or does it?

3. what are my job prospects?

Ans: What you want to know? how will you get break in you first job? well no body can tell you that. Only what can be advised that it may take time to get  the first break or may be not at all. So you never know whats there in store. Prepare as best as you can and get ready to face the worst.
