I have no knowledge about SAP but I just found a job offer which seems very interesting and deep knowledge of SAP HR and MM is required. The position is for an assistant whereas I thought "deep knowledge" is to be required from consultants and experts. Can somebody give me some insights into this? I have difficulties to find the right course to start with for me if I decide to pursue the carreer. I have experience in procurement, almost 44 years, is it worthy to invest (MM course 1600 USD ...)

Hi Jana
SAP MM is Materials Management so that can include Procurement. When they want "deep knowledge" MM, more than likely you have done the training on hands on skills, understand the module and know how to configure it. To me, deep knowledge would not mean level entry. I'm unsure if you're procurement experience includes working on SAP software - knowing that might help as to whether it is worth spending the money.
If you work on an SAP system then that's a good start but doing the training without any other experience could be challenging to find work afterwards.
It's a bit interesting the job is wanting HR and MM as a combination 🙂
