Mentor is a person like a GURU, who has vast knowledge and experience and has the intention of helping others.....
With his vast experience he can guide you to make a right choice....
In my case when i started my SAP Journey, there were 2 project Managers who always guided me till date, there was a team lead when i worked in CG who was amazing and he guided me and i met few good Mentors and friends in SDN via online....
So how will the mentors get interest on you to guide you - you need to be hard working, want to achieve success and you are ready to learn and when you ask their help they would help you....
Mentor might not be a teacher who teaches you but he is a guide you shows you the right direction.
Personally I respect my Mentors even today from the bottom of my heart... So your respect should be true.....
