want to start a career in SAP

Hello,

I am thinking of changing my career.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from India and also learnt programming languages like C, Java but never got an opportunity to work in those fields. I am aware that the IT field changes daily.

Past 12 years I have been working in GTA in a totally different field – 'freight auditing', a part of the supply chain. Our company database is based on Oracle. I always had interest in IT and hence I want to start with it. I am looking to start a career in the SAP software and would love to start as a beginner. I would highly appreciate it if you could guide me. I would like to continue my present job and take courses if possible online.

Please let me know any thoughts you have. Any suggestion will be a huge benefit for me

Since you have worked for 12 years as a freight auditor and have a background in JAVA, i would suggest to look at Ariba Services as the area to get into rather than looking at programming skills. The work that you have put up in domain will help to grow as an Ariba Consultant as well as exp in JAVA will help to understand the software.
