Hi,

Before switching into SAP domain..

Identify you goal... In which function you would like to excel....Say Sales

Understand SAP domain ....Identify Modules of SAP.....& finally match it with your interest...

Check out whether .. SAP has those options for you or not (In this case ..SAP SD module)...

  • You can get into SAP as an end user in MNC's if they have SAP implemented....
  • You can also take SAP training after identifying.. right module..
  • Getting trained in SAP is not difficult ...what matters is Job....

As you are already working in a company.. if they have SAP implemented get into some small roles into SAP.,,, & understand the SAP environment....

This will help you in deciding further....

Veeram

Thanks Mr, Reddy,

I have a fair idea about the Sales Domain as I have done job as Astt,Manager BD for 2 years.

I want to know What are the Job prospects in SD and What do you guide about the training?

I have checked within my organization but they have not replied positively to giving me an opportunity in SAP department here.

Hi,

Prospects for SAP SD is good.. If it interesting to you....

Try your best to get into some small roles in SAP dept.. May be as an end user... (as an added responsibility)

If not.. Get trained in Some local institutes first & just mention this to your current company about new skills acquired... This may open the door in SAP...
