Hi All,

Hope you are doing well !

About me, I am currently working in an reputed organisation as JDE CNC Consultant. (Similar as SAP BASIS). i have experience of almost 3 years now and considering ERP future i would like to join SAP.

I am interested in joining any Functional module (SD, MFG , CRM, MM, SCM Etc ). Considering my interests i have joined MBA and its almost completed.

I am not aware how and where to start from here now. what will be the perfect next step to enter SAP functional module ??

Thanks and Help is Appreciated !! 🙂

Welcome! If the SAP functional route is your preference there are several ways to get this exposure. I recommend starting with openSAP for free overview courses. Please also feel free to join our SAP Community Call this coming Monday to find out what's new and coming at openSAP.

Hi

As already suggested, based on your previous experience, SAP BASIS(Administration) is something you may consider.

However, as you said "Interest" I would say go for your interest i.e Functional. Now to become a Functional SAP Consultant, it is good to have some domain knowledge of business in order to understand the SAP Concept during training or after getting a job. Don't know in which specialization you are doing MBA, accordingly, you may consider any SAP Functional module.

My suggestion would be to join a product based company as a business user where SAP has already been implemented, work there for at-least couple of years (1-2) and keep your interest in learning business processes and SAP related work. After acquiring some business knowledge, attend SAP training, Read/Practice continuously at-least until you receive an offer letter of an SAP Consultant.

Never loose hope. I am sure you will enjoy being a part of SAP world.

All the very best!

Regards

Kamlesh
