Hi
I am working in an MNC as a SAP PS consultant since last 2 years. I didn't find my work interesting from very beginning but kept working in this field as future scope is good. till now I have worked in support project where PS is not much used. My interest is in development and i want to switch my profile.
I want to go for C/C++ developer on UNIX platform.
Problem starts from here i have few question whose answer i am finding:
1. Is sap ps is still the right choice for me?
2. After working 2 years in SAP how to get technical job?
Please help me to overcome this confusion.

Curious to know what motivated you to get into the ERP world in the first place? Mean, you surely would have a fair understanding of the profile you were getting into.
SAP PS is indeed a hot skill among many, nevertheless, if your inclination is towards coding and you have background in development, could consider switching to SAP ABAP profile. ABAP, if you are aware, is a programming language developed by SAP to meet the programming needs of its business solutions. It can be used only on SAP platform. It’s different from C, C++ though.
Down the line, if you dislike ABAP, you may then consider switching your profile to something else. IMO, hang in there for a while, explore other areas in SAP, just for the fact that getting a break in the ERP world is an achievement in itself!!

Hi Sandeep,
I find your post pretty interesting but not unusual. I have seen many people doing a different job but liking something else. A few things I would suggest you before you take any decision:
1. Don't quit your current job before anything great works out for you according to your interest.
2. Find out how is the job market for people with C & C++ programmers. 3. How many years of experience are the employers are asking and what type of project - coding experience is in demand. 4. How is the job market for freshers with C/C++ knowledge.
Now, take sometime and explore BI/BW/BO/ABAP and see if they catch your attention.
Cheers,
