Hi

I am a Mechanical Engineer working on CAD since 2 yrs i want to shift  to SAP.

I chosen MM & PP which is better for me.

Suggest which functional module is better for the Mechanical Students related to Design field.

Thanks & Regards

DEV.

Dev,

You should ask yourself what are you good at.  I keep suggesting this and may also apply to someone like yourself:

1)List all SAP modules on a piece of paper and write brief points about what they do to manage business effectively eg. MM is for material master is helps businesses procure and manage the stock levels and is used heavily in the manufacturing sector etc.

2)Relate your experiences upto now to each of these

3)Decide what you are good at. It could be that you may be good at more than activity/one module and if this is the case, you could decide both of them.

I have seen people with Engg. degrees switching to modules not requiring anything to do with engg studies, so suggest that until you decide which module, please don't relate your engineering background to your decision.

All the best in your SAP career!

I've written some blogs that contain web sites and books that may help you with this decision. Hope this helps! -td
