Dear All,
I am new to SCN, I have just found about this community through google.
I have completed my MBA in international business but via distance studies in yr 2012...I am in my family business of exports & I work with my father but now I am looking forward to shift to a job. Is starting with a SAP certified Courses of functional module & getting a SAP certification can help me get into this world of SAP? I have no issues if for experience only I have to work for less or no money for some time..but can I plan a future or start my job career on this?
I am computer literate , have good communication skills, have small knowledge of database management systems, but very basic. So for a person like me is it worth a shot?
I am confident enough that I will be able to learn and apply what ever I learn about SAP.
I look forward to you guys to pls help me out n guide me through If i should go ahead with this course.
Also, Pls advise me how to get a start in this field...should I go for the certified courses & certificate from SAP first or should I start learning SAP from newhere n den go for the certification..which would be the right way to start..& how to start.
I am really confused I hope you guys will interact n guide me.'
Looking forward for some advises.
Thanks,
Mohammad Kamran

Its a great sentence I ever seen..
"I have no issues if for experience only I have to work for less or no money for some time..but can I plan a future or start my job career on this?"
But don't worry its not happening to you...
I suggest don't go for the certificate first...
At first read about SAP, learn SAP from anywhere without any certification course...
To get start, read about SAP ERP, like
What is ERP?
What is an ERP package?
What is SAP??
What is a business.
What is called business process...
First you have to know about business process...
Then as per your interest choose a module of SAP. Then involve in this particular module.

Hello,
Its good you want to do something rather then involving in your family business. I will say do a small research on the what all module is Available in SAP and i think you will be able to grab some 'Functional Module' in SAP, easily...
I am sharing some links with you that will help you to clear your doubt..

Thanks...
I have researched lil bit n found out that I cannot give exam for SAP certification unless I am already related to SAP or I have done 22-25 day course from authorized SAP partner education center but these are really expensive. There are also institutes which are giving the SAP courses for much lesser price but I don't understand how they are going to make you eligible to Sit u in the certification exam...
Also once I complete one functional module what will be the next steps..is there any such thing that I atleast need to do 2 - 3 modules before entering the SAP market..?

No, at the entry level you should starting working with only one module till you become expert in that module after that based on your interest you can learn other module.

No.. You can engage with only one module...
See, In SAP, all modules are little bit integrated with each others..
Like for MM, it is integrated with SD/FI/WM/PP..
So, one will be your base module and others can you your integrated modules.
and about the education center..
Its depend on your quality...
You can join these center which is lesser price...
Just know about sap.. As this is your learning period, I suggest anyhow just enter into SAP world, then you will know about these all things...
Find just a source for entering SAP world...
Once you enter the SAP world.. You can do the certification course...
