Gautam,
First gather what is there in SAP SD and MM. Based on this and your experience, choose one module and start your career in SAP.
You will need training. You could go for unauthorized (or non-SAP partner) online training, important is to find a good trainer - who can give business examples for SAP functionalities, objects.
Your previous functional experience might help you in learning SAP.
Breaking into SAP job market is difficult and will test your patience and perseverance. Maybe your salary will not increase in the first couple of years (as compared to present). But in total, it is a rewarding career.

Being an old member of SCN, don't you know that sharing personal mail id is not allowed? Despite knowing that if you deviate SCN rules, then you will land up in a problem by loosing all your points.

Will you please suggest it will be better to join online classes or coaching based classes.
Gautam,
As I mentioned, the selection of a trainer is one of the most important things. If you get a great trainer in your city, you can go for class room coaching. Online or classroom is not important.
In the SAP world, there is a lot of work offshore, working remotely you provide your service. In the professional world you will be working a lot online.
Glynn C Williams is a great book. Get access to IDES.
Business processes are very important.
