Hi Kareem,
Its a good question. Many modules might come and get outdated but some functional module will never get outdated and one of them being SAP FICO.
In order to become successful SAP FICO Trainer the following steps would be good:
- First: You need to have a basic education for finance like Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Costing etc.
- Second: You need to have interest and inclination towards learning the business processes instead of focusing only in SAP FICO.
- Third: A person should have logical thoughts of sequencing and integration mindset.
- Fourth: Should be well versed with SAP Configuration not necessarily that he/she should by heart each and every transaction code but should be able know how to search and get it quickly and explain it to the students or audience.
- Fifth: Should have a good ability to explain with real time business example or scenario as its easy to undersand when a scenario is explained in deail along with sap configuration insatead of only book definition about a sap term or teminology.
- Sixth: Generally a successful trainer will already would have worked in the industry for 8/10 years in SAP FICO in different sub modules. The trainer must have experience not only in implementation but in support project also.
- Seventh: A good FICO Trainer must have very good cross module (FICO-MM, FICO-SD, FICO-PS, CO-PP, FICO-PM etc.) Integration experience.
Coming back to the salary part off course good trainer must be able to demand very good rate in the market though its difficult to exactly specify the actual amount what a trainer might earn.
Ultimately its all about learning, practicing and sharing..
Let me know if you need any further clarification or information.
Thanks & Regards
