Hi Friends,

I would like to start learning SAP, looking for better opportunity and grow into the same. I would like to share my past experience.

Please help me to select SAP module for my career.

Working as a Sr. Business Development Executive (from Nov 2010 to present).

Right now , I don't want to continue as a BD executive and unable to decide that what is best career opportunity for me.

Friends, please suggest which one will be the best module that would suit my profile (SAP MM or SD or HR)

It would be grateful friends if you can share your thoughts .

Please suggest !

HI Varun

your title can mean many things where I come from. It can also imply quite senior and unlikely to be hands on a sap system

are you able to give some more details of what your job entails, the industry you work in and his long you have been in your field. This sort of information will enable the community to give advise.

Regards

Colleen

edit - just say 2010 for duration of experience

Hi Varun

It sounds like quite an interesting career. Why do you now want to switch to SAP? Why do you no longer want to be a business development executive?

In terms of what you are doing your skill will not match a module directly. Your job description and title sounds like you would not be hands on a system. Switching to SAP will be a big risk of going back to the beginning and being junior (not sure how much your 6 years industry knowledge will count)

What do you like to do and are good at doing?

Regards

Hi Varun,

The suitable module for you is SAP Sales and Distribution and SAP CRM Sales or Marketing because Sales knowledge can give wide understanding how SAP process works in industries.

My best suggestion would be opt for SAP CRM because there are thousands of people already have average experience of 5 to 10 years in SAP SD module.

If you are entering in SAP SD module then he will have more struggle before you enter and after you enter for at least 5 years.

Industry counts experience however still SAP leads ERP world but SAP CRM picking up after advanced UI technology and more robust functions for many SAP industry applications.
