Hi
First of all you should ask this question in Career forum which now moderator might move this automatically.
You have experience of NON SAP environment or you have worked with some SAP area as well? And did you get SD or CRM certification or just end user level training? In these tough days I won't recommend you to experiment something new by leaving your current job. AS you have years of experience so you should continue your job and start applying for some SAP position simultaneously.

Hi Arvind,
As moazzam rightly pointed continue with your present job(if you have not resigned), As you might have experienced that the current market is not good for freshers, not much companies are calling fresher.
I suggest you to keep your resume posted to all the portal & wait. Keep practising in IDES as this will give you confidence in interviews & log on to SCN to keep you updated.
Thanks
Sukant

arvind,
If you are certified, then the number of interview calls could be more than just learning without certification.
There would be calls but scarse (less).
In interviews you have show that you can link the SAP functions (topics) with business scenarios. If you can provide relevant business examples, this would be a plus.
Note - SAP SD consultant is not a managerial job. It is hands-on work.
