You have not provided enough information about yourself to give suitable advice. However, for some of your queries, please find below my comments

How difficult is the course

It is subject to your understanding of how best you know the Business process and SAP functionality

what are the job prospects for fresher

The ground reality is it is very tough for freshers to get a job as a SAP consultant.

Since you specifically mentioned about SAP SD, consider taking this course https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Sales-SAP+ERP

why don't you continue with your current (first) career and become a manager etc. / did you check the relevant job positions in Toronto ?

although if you have enough money for SAP courses you would try...but there is no guarantee it would help you.

anyway good luck!

SAP SD is not difficult. It requires repetition and practice...

5 years of working in SD is required to get a good hold of the subject.

10 years of working in SD is required to be some sort of expert.
