Dear All,

I am working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing industry with three years of experience in SAP PM Supporting.

Now I want to switch over to implementation , I am not having 100% experience in end to end Implementation.

How can I get into implementation ? Do I need to have any certification ? how is the market trend now for SAP PM ?
Please Suggest.

Regards

Keerthan Kumar

Hi Keerthan,

You should evaluate yourself with respect to your knowledge on PM first. There are many people with SAP training and certification but still not having any job. If you are inclined towards some technical work then check out the technical modules in SAP or else if you want to go to PM and as an implementer then check the job market first via the job portals and your friends.

To learn more and gain knowledge you should try making good network at SCN and read the blogs/questions, and articles which are posted from time to time.

Thank you,

Nagarajan Viswanathan

How can I get into implementation ?

Its all depends on your knowledge, if you are having enough knowledge, then it won't be so difficult for you. If you are asking technical side, then you only can give answer of this.

Do I need to have any certification ?

As Nagarajan said, There are no. of people having certification but no jobs, so certification is like an assets in your career , it will help you to get the jobs, not the job surety.
