SAP on AWS, Azure or GCP?

Hello Everyone,

I am having 2.5 year of experience in SAP Basis. I am learning Hana adminsitration now. Since now most of the customers are moving their systems in cloud. I wanted to learn migration to cloud and I have quick question. If I want to learn then which one would be good in terms of learning and future growth.

Thanks in advance...

Regards,

Rohit

Hello Rohit,

Good point that sends me back to these old days where basis were asking :"Which database should I learn in regards to SAP workloads ? ".

Well, looking at this 2018 article , the ranking for public cloud market seems to be: 1 AWS / 2 Azure / 3 Gcp.

In terms of learning, I think any of these is good. Especially if you're brand new to cloud technology. Now which one to learn first ?

I assume SAP workloads follow the same repartition, so if you want to be on the "main street", you'd probably head for AWS first. Azure seems to grow significantly this year. GCP looks like the challenger currently. I'd add another one in the game : SAP itself, but for some reason, it does not appear ...

Best regards , Steve.
