Dear All,

My name is Kalpana and I have a basic degree in mathematics and am working as a data analyst (statistics, data visualization, data mining) for the past 4 years. I am contemplating on making a career in SAP.

Can someone help me understand which module would suit my background and experience?

Please do ask any additional questions needed to be able to guide me.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Kalpana.

Hi Kalpana,

As per your experience, I would like to know What is your qualification background?

Have you done MBA or any types of business course ?

You wrote "am working as a data analyst (statistics, data visualization, data mining) "

As per this knowledge, You must choose SAP Administration.

But If you have different business knowledge, then I can refer you other module on SAP.

Thanks

DEV

Dear Dev,

Thank you for your reply. I have an MSc in Mathematics. I am trained at work to do data analysis which entails looking at technical data and discovering hidden trends and make mathematical models out of them for prediction of experimental results. My work requires that I have a surface knowledge (but in depth not required) in many fields from metals to oil and gas to medical applications (infact every field that has Data!).

By Administration if you mean HR then I think it does not come close to what I do.

With regards to business knowledge, I do not have any experience. I was more thinking about taking up a specialized module like "oil and gas" for example as there is quite some demand for it in Europe. But, I am worried that they would probably need a pre-requisite understanding of the upstream processing of oil and gas. Are there any modules that would entail data analytics, knowledge of statistics?

I am ready to start from scratch. So are there any modules which could would be relatively less stringent on domain specific knowledge? I live in Europe and so my end goal is to be able to find a suitable job here.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Kalpana.
