Hello Mentors,
I am having 3 year work experience as an end user in SAP MM module. The firm which I am working for, is user for SAP. I have learnt from various forums that if one is having workex in SAP then there is no need to appear in class room training to appear in certification exam. Please guide me on same.
Thanks and regards

Hi Ankit,
Please understand there is a marked difference between an SAP end-user and an SAP Consultant. Based on this knowledge let me try to answer your question.
Yes, if you are an SAP Consultant and already working in the SAP industry then you need not go for SAP Certification. You can choose to go for it... but it's your decision. Not many companies look for a Certified candidate if he/she has good work experience as a Consultant.
On the other hand, if you are an end-user and have work experience as an end-user, then this experience is not considered when you are applying as a Consultant. In such a case, you may or not required Certification (Certification, does not guarantee jobs). But a classroom training is required to work as a Consultant.

kishan,
It is more of a procedure question, about taking the MM certification exam.

Hi TW,
I re-read the question a few more times and I believe I may have erred in understanding the question (slightly).
Your rephrasing of the question(below) seems right. But I still believe that the OP is confusing End-user work experience with Consultant work-experience.
We'll probably never know... unless the OP comes back to clarify.
Please guide me on same.
.. does not cut-it.

Ankit,
Your question is - If you want to take the MM certification exam, then is it mandatory to enroll in the training also?
Just call up an authorized SAP training institute and ask them, if it is mandatory is your case or not.
