Need your opinion guys, Am working in a proprietary ERP used for administering Benefits,Personnel administration for US clients .I have 7.5 years of experience in the same field. Now am hoping to shift company studying another technology so that i can be more salable in the job market, better career . SAP HCM is what i have in my mind and there are still questions lingering in my mind whether SAP HCM is hot in job market. can anybody let me know if the job opportunity for SAP HCM is very good .or Should i consider any other field such as data warehousing. Pardon me if my question is very novice or lame because this is my first tech crossover and nervous about it . Thanks in advance !!

Hi Aravinth,
Good to know that you are interested in learning SAP.
As per your experience I hope you have very good knowledge in all the phases and function of HR.
For a consultant it is very important to have depth experirence in all the functionalities of HR, this will help you in suggesting the better ways of processess to the client.
Learning technical configuration in the system is not difficult, but you have corelate to each and every process of busines,
It is very important to be a business consultant to improve the process of the company to a better one.
you should be in a position to understand the process & Policies of the business then what is business requirement, is it a good practice, is there any other better solution to improve the process, what are the best practices that other companies follow in this process. you should be able to suggest the best solution process wise and then implement the same in SAP.
As per HR functionalities there are different sub modules in SAP HCM as, OM, PA, PT, PY, TM, LSO, E-REC, ESS/MSS, EIC, HR Process & Forms, COMP & BEN, etc.
Choose the submodule in which you are strong functionality and process wise and learn.
Hope this will help you
Thanks & Regards
