I am 30 year old and I have zero work experience (SAP/Non SAP) but I want to pursue career in SAP FICO as a functional consultant. If I take training and do the SAP certification, will I get job in IT/ product based company as a fresher? Will companies consider my profile for SAP functional ? I want to build my career in this field. Please advise.

You can start your career at any point of your life, only thing you need is a beginner’s mindset and willingness to learn.

I do know of a couple of people who had no work experience and went on to complete their training and certification from a SAP Education partner and finally got placed through them.

However the road ahead would be not easy, so please be prepared to put in extra effort. At the time of placement/recruitment Companies might give preference to those SAP freshers who have domain experience and also sometimes to people who are just out of college and completed their training and certification.

Hi basera292017

I have seen people starting late in the career and are successful FICO Consultants today. The first and primary criterion is to have a positive attitude and keenness to learn new things. There are lot of resources available today to start a journey in SAP Finance & Controlling. I would suggest to look at the below learning journeys

Both the journeys list the various courses and certifications available.

Thanks & regards

Age doesn't matter as long as you are willing to learn. You can join some training institute and get the certification. But as already stated, mentally, you should be prepared to work as a trainee / fresher
