SAP for Domain Experience

Dear SAPites,

I'm Mechanical graduate from Bangalore, Currently working in one of steel industry as a Supply chain manager.

My current profile from the past 2.5 years is taking care of warehouse operations, inventory, logistics, Sales & Distribution activities(i.e includes working on SO making, invoicing & entire billing process in SAP).It's kind of end user.

Moreover prior to this i was in plant for the  purchase, order management for expansion projects for 5 years.

Totally 8 years experience in domain industry,looking for SAP online training from SAP institute it's about 5 months course.(planning to complete the course without leaving current job).

I request SAP experts, kindly guide me & looking for your valuable suggestion in this regard highly appreciated.

Hi Colleen,

Thank your for quick response & awaiting your advise on Career. One more question is that my current profile & SAP SD will it work.

Since im looking for change from Domain to SAP will it affect my future in job searching.

However i will put all my possible effort to finish this certificate exam & confident on that part.

Good wishes become SAP Consultant.

You have chosen right module for you and also you can check SAP CRM Sales too.

Domain knowledge only gives you to understand easily when you learn SAP processes but it does not count your experience in IT field.  They will always ask relevant IT experience, so domain experience gives knowledge to understand SAP SD fast.

Moreover, SAP authorized training institutes 30 days classroom training only and you can do certification immediately.  If you want to read through online then SAP offers wide range of online training to acquire certification.
