Hi folks.

I have no experience with SAP and just join with a company who also been running the SAP since 1 years ago. Can somebody let me know what are the first things to know if we wanted to be master of SAP?

My role is in supply chain, responsible mainly for supply, logistics and delivery.

Thanks

Hello Cahaya Cahaya,

Welcome to SAP community

I would suggest you to look at Open SAP training website.

https://open.sap.com/

There is plenty amount of training material available on different-different topics of SAP

Hope this will help you to learn about SAP

For example training you can go through (By filter you can look at below)

https://open.sap.com/courses?q=supply%20chain

There is always SAP help documentation available at https://help.sap.com

Hi

  • First of all check that how many modules are implemented in your company
  • If implementation has happened an year ago then it must be into S/4 HANA if it was a roll out for your company then may be it could be ECC too.
  • Find your area of interest which suites your domain i.e Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Warehouse Management etc
  • Learn to understand the business processes across Logistics
  • Try to work as an end user too and perform almost all the transactions(if possible) to understand the flow in SAP and if not possible in Production then in a Quality System
  • Give at-least few more years to this role and master as an end user, and try resolve transactions related issues and if possible try to be part of your company's in-house support team
  • After an year or two, you will be aware of your area of interest, learn a module either from SAP authorized center or unauthorized center based on your financials
  • Read, practice and prepare for the interview(s) > join SAP consulting world and enjoy SAP career.

Good luck

Regards
