Hi Pradeep,

You need to decide which course would ideally suits you. It is not something you just go and pick it up. You need to analyse your strengths and your past domain experience.

Most important points is not to leave your current job. Certification cannot give you any guarantee for your SAP Consulting job. However, it will put yourself to see in a better way. Even with your certification, your first job in SAP consulting world would always be difficult. I have seen number of people with good domain knowledge failed to get into SAP Consulting world. Therefore, if you are taking a risk, please be prepared for everything. Your investment is like an opportunity cost. Please take a wise decision.

Best Regards,

Ravi

Hi Pradeep,

Both cannot give you any guarantee of job.

Local Institute - Not sure whether they are legal or illegal, but cannot give you any guarantee on quality. Since, you do not have anything to prove, you cannot claim anything on your CV. No guarantee of job.

SAP / SAP Education Partner - Course is structure, but expensive. You may get the attendance certification. Mere attending the course cannot give you any guarantee for your certification. You must read and pass the certification. There are number of people failed even after taking training from SAP / Education Partner. Please note that SAP Certification cannot give you any job guarantee, however, you will be in a better position to market yourself.

Best Regards,

Ravi

Hi Pradeep,

As Ravi is pointed out 25K course or Certification, nothing will guarantee you a job in SAP market.

But if you talk in term of probability, its more with certification.

Some of benefits that will come with certifications are as follows :

1) Global acceptance & Lifetime validity

2) Preference among most of the SAP employers.

3) Value addition to your resume.

4) Association with brand "SAP"

By considering above points, you can opt for certification, provided you are willing to shell out 2.5 lacs.

Take a wise decision & move ahead.

Good luck.

Regards,

Balaji

  • with sales experience, definitely CRM is the module (if you are talking about sales pipeline, funnel, sales reports, customer service, marketing leads etc.)
  • SD is more suited for "sales support", where-in you are just facilitating order execution / fulfilment (I don't unerstand why many still continue to recommend SD for people with "sales" experience!).

re: Choice of institute?

SAP authorised / recognised institute highly recommended. Classroom coaching. if you can afford it. yes its way expensive (at-par with international prices!) but I think worth the investment

  • You get to learn a lot more,
  • in organized manner,
  • clear concepts
  • hands-on experience

I can recommend Genovate (Hyderabad). I gradated from there and highly satisfied with the quality and services + professionalism. I Think NIIT has alre ady pulled out of SAP education market but other institutes, haven't heard good reviews form past graduates.

in 25K institutes, I heard you CAN get so me LIVE project experience, but I  wonder what the quality of education. I DID hear few succes stories form these institutes too but you have to understand whole of their business model is based on fake SAP experience certificate, (artificially) mugging-up SAP concepts just to get you prepare for MNC interview....

you can decide which one is sustainable, and decide what fits you better...
