Dear Experts/Friends,

Few days back I heard during a discussion withing our colleagues that if you are working in Gulf and willing to appear for an SAP certification exam, it may be a good choice since there is no requirement to get sponsorship from your company for the same and you can appear on your individual capacity paying Exam fee only.

Currently I'm working in Middle east region and willing to go for certification, if above information is correct then it can help me saving loads of money.

Please if someone is aware about the same then I would request to share.

Many thanks,

SS

Hi Siddarth,

This is applicable for everyone in the world. Not just for those in Gulf countries.

Hi Leon,

Thanks for your kind reply, so did you mean that there is no requirement to get sponsored from the company and we can appear for the exam on individual capacity ?

Awaiting for your reply !

Many thanks,

Hi Siddarth,

You can appear for the exam on individual capacity. No need to get sponsored by the company.

Dear Leon,

Thank you for sparing your valuable time, Actually I missed to quote the important information - I'm working as SAP BASIS Admin for a well known organization in Middle East but so far I haven't taken training from an SAP authorized center in the past. Now I'm planning to get certified but going through those may be so costly and to appear for SAP certification examination the criteria which I'm aware so far are:

- Get trained from SAP authorized training partner or

- Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field, and should be sponsored by the company ( now there is no hesitation for the second part of the second option-thanks but how about minimum 2 years of experience ?).

Please if you could shed some more light on the above, I'm extremely sorry for stretching it longer but It can help me a lot.

Once again Many thanks,

SS

Hi Siddarth,

Only in America its possible to appear for certification exam without academy training or showing experience proof.

If you are in other parts of the world, then you have to show the experience proof.

SAP clearly specifies as follows:

Participation

There are no restrictions on certification program participation. However, SAP assumes the certification candidates have prepared for the examination by attending the training courses recommended by SAP and SAP's partners in the respective operating system, database, and network areas.

You can wait till you attain the required experience.

However you can contact SAP Education Center for more details.

Dear Leon,

Once again thank you so much, and all 10 points awarded to you for your help. I'll plan to appear within next 4 months since I'll qualify one of the criteria by that time.

Best regards,

SS
