Dear All,
I am SAP ABAP certified and I never work as ABAP developer, most of my experience in MM, PM, and PS modules, not as a consultant but as support and trainer, so when I am trying to find a job I cant apply for ABAP developer because I am still fresher, also I cant apply for MM, PM, PS consultant because I am not certified, i.e I have a very good knowledge about each field, which it is give me a very good advantage when I work with any module team, but I am not in that deep of knowledge like a consultant.
Any advise how can I use this wide knowledge in order to select a SAP career path, instead of be a specific in any SAP module? or I must select one field to be specialist on it?
Regards,
M Albdour

HI Mohamad
If you have experience in Support and Training then that is a good start. If you still have a job and access to the systems then that's even better
I typically don't recommend certifications to freshers as it can lead to a misconception that certification without experience will give you a job. But it sounds like you have some experience
I would recommend you continue with the support role and look for opportunities to take on more senior activities. Support is an excellent way to get grounding in SAP and have practical exposure to the system by understanding the end user and production issues. Too many people see Support as Inferior to Consultancy and Project work. I find too many project people lack the comprehension as to what an end user actually is (I've been in a workplace many times and walked the consultant over to a the factory floor to point out who we're implementing the system for in a speech to make the solution simple).
Whilst continuing your support role, there could be benefit in studying for your certification. You will need to reach out to local country education office to find out what the requirements at. SAP Learning Hub is a good subscription to get access to the course content for self paced study.
Once you are certified, you will have both qualification and experience on your resume to stand a chance
Good luck
Regards
