SAP Career Option

Hai Experts,

My Name is Manjunath, am working as Product Consultant in retail Software Company (NON SAP) and i have 7 years of experience in Implementation and support. Now am planning to join into the SAP world to learn the SAP module and to work as SAP consultant.

When i checked with some of the institute they are given two option.

1. 1. Join for SAP IS Retail Course and do the good practice and go for interview with fake experience 

My opinion: Going with fake experience is not good for career and also i don't want take the job by cheating. Moreover if i join also i cant work peacefully, every day need to die in fear thinking of am a fake candidate

1. 2. Join for the Course and do the certification and go for interview as a fresher.

Only 5 % chance for freshers. all most all the company are looking for only experience candidate. 

While browsing SAP course details i found SCN site which is giving more details on SAP.  i thought to put my query here and get the right direction to join SAP

Have the Domain knowledge in following area

1. 1. SCM -Supply Chain Management
2. 2. WM- Warehouse Management
3. 3. SM- Store Management
4. 4. POS- Point of Sales
5. 5. MM. Master Management

Also we did the accounts integration to SAP from my current application

Now please let me know right direction to come to SAP world and how much effort i need to put to become a SAP consultant.

I wonder why should you ever consider the Option 1.

Option 1 is not really an option, it is cheating.

Looking at your experience, you should explore

MM / SRM / SCM / WM type of areas.
