Hi,

My Name is Pankaj & I am a sophomore at Symbiosis University, perusing MBA-Operations. Prior to that i have had experience of 3 years in Telecom/Ericsson India Pvt. Ltd.  as a Engineer- Telecom Network Assurance, I am willing to pursue career in SAP domain but i am really confuse between SAP domains which will be good if you consider growth & opportunities.

SAP - SD ( As it is widely implemented & there will be learning in both Marketing & Operations domain)

SAP - MM ( As it is widely implemented & to some extent it matches with the theme of MBA-Operations)

SAP - APO ( Apart from Operations part there will be more leanings & opportunities)

SAP - BI/BO ( We have one subject of Business Analytics & I have done SAS certification as-well so it will be like an add on)

SAP - HANA ( As it the recent HOT domain)

Please guide me considering Market Scenario, Future Growth & Recruitment Opportunities?

I will be highly thankful to you !!

Regards,

Pankaj Ahuja

Hello Pankaj,

As you have knowledge of networking so i don't think so that there will be any module mentioned by you, will help you to use your past experience. So you can pick any module.. Just do a small research and explore all module little bit and then decide which module will be more easy for you to work and learn, and all module are equally good with market perspective.

Hi Pankaj,

There are functional and technical modules in SAP, take sometime and see which one interests you and you would like to pursue. As you have mentioned that you are pursuing MBA so my guess is that you are not interested in technical work, but if you have interest in technical work then you might like the following modules (ABAP/BI/BO/SAP Security etc). Growth depends upon many things such as your (knowledge of the module/experience in SAP/the company that you are working/you knowledge of business processes/your involvement in different projects/finding a company where there are many projects on Implementation).

I hope I answered your question.

Cheers,

Nagarajan

Hi,

Pankaj SAP itself is vast and demanding. Certain modules are evergreen. So they will be in demand all the time like FI/CO/MM/HR etc.

Technical sides BASIS/ABAP/APO/HANA/BI/BW etc.

Go to your interest area and choose accordingly.

You are  going to succeed.

Best of Luck.

Thanks & Regards

Supriyo

Hi Pankaj,

in addition to earlier replies,if you want to work in pure business domain then choose SAD SD,MM,FICO etc or if you are willing to learn both technical and functional aspects then you can go for SAP BI/BO or HANA.
