Hello,
My name is Kuba and I am a student.I am starting preparation to the career in SAP BI.
First of all, I have been reading a lot about SAP BI and HANA and as far as I know SAP BI will not be replaced by HANA (correct me if I am wrong)
I have got some plan for the future, please take a look at it.
On May I am starting courses conducted by one of the German universities. I am starting with TERP 10 course and introduction to SAP BI.It will be followed by Advanced Business Intelligence and Integrated Business Planning courses. Courses are quite comprehensive, and there is also practical work on SAP living system.
Afterwards, I am going to do ABAP courses and start learning HANA (From Hana development center mainly)
And now the most important question, is it worth doing these courses in terms of HANA? I am a bit scared that knowledge which I will gain during these courses will be obsolete in terms of HANA( in 2014/2015 year)
What do You think about my plan? Would You do something else/more?
As I am a SAP fresher, any feedback, tip, advice is really useful and I will be eternally greatful for it.
Thank You in Advance,
Kuba

Hi Jakub,
SAP BI is a technical module and HANA is an in-memory database which is way faster then the traditional databases. Now, the new implementation of BI are using HANA due to the major advantage of faster retrieval of data so HANA is not going to replace BI as its a in-memory DB not a module.
If you want to know and learn HANA without paying for it then go to (www.opensap.com) and register for a free training and exam. This is a very good opportunity to all who want to learn HANA.
Cheers,
