Dear All,

I am an engineering graduate in Electronics and Instrumentation. But i do not have any experience in that field, instead I have been trained in SAP ABAP from my company and have experience in it for about 3 years. Now I wish to learn a module in SAP like PM by which I can use my engineering knowledge also to build up my career in core industries.

Kindly advice me on this and the ways to achieve it.

Please let me know if there are any other courses or certification I could do to relating my engineering and  experiences.

Thanks,

Annie.

Hi Annie,

This is good option.

Being a Functional Consultant i always try to learn ABAP, which can make me Techno Functional. This is more relevant and gives good future.

Try to learn SAP PM from help.sap.com

Plant Maintenance (PM) - SAP Library

These are business scenarios, try to relate the same with your core experience and built the IDES is a test system, once you are clear with the standard process, then go for Configuration, this will help you to gain more depth knowledge and you will be able to understand the concept of Industry and SAP.

On the certification part, once you learn, then try to do certification through the company (If it is a business partner), since the cost is less.

Regards
