Hi all,
What kind of profile is this? I'm talking about 'SAP ABAP Techno Functional Consultant'. I'm thinking in a multimodule consultant with strong ABAP skills. Am I right?
Thanks in advance.

For me such concept does not exist... Someone who call himself a Techno-Funtional Consultant is always overselling his/her skills on one of the fronts.
But thats just my opinion.

Since ABAP and Techno come first, I'd assume it's an ABAPer with strong functional skills

This profile best describes a consultant who has worked on both FICO(just for example, could be any functional module) and ABAP modules. Now, it is used both ways. i.e. a guy who has first worked on ABAP and then learned FICO and worked on that as well..or vice versa....

Hi Juan,
Nobody (consultant, ABAPer) call himself with this description. It's the description of a recruiter for a position in UK. This is the reason of my question. I had doubts if it would be understandable.
Thanks all by your comments.

Techno Functional Consultant is a Recuiter's Frankenstein. Always on the look-out for the maximum from a new recruit, they've started asking for Consultants who can do a bit of both - Technical Coding and Functional Configurations, just to save money on hiring another Consultant.
And now everybody claims to be a Techno-Functional Consultant

Get job description from recruiter for this job title, probably they may be looking for expertise in any one of functional areas
like HR,MM,FI,PP,SD etc.,combined with ABAP.

Thanks
Its clear that there are consultants with a shameful behavior, overselling themselves. But, in the other side that Jeyakanthan
tell us (an ABAPer with strong functional skills). If you are a functional with 10/15 years of experience, with 2 or more modules and you have ABAP skills (not all, of course, you develop your own enhancements/BADI/BTE, your ALV lists, perhaps you have problems with smartforms -ie: you are slow in the development of forms-, a little bit of ABAP OO, you are able to do traces and check bottlenecks...) ¿How do you sell yourself? ¿How do you improve your possibilities in the market?
