Hi All,

How one can define the road map for normal SAP consultants like SD,MM,FI etc to enhance skill in upcoming all new S/4HANA.

Consultants with prior experience of around 5-10 years how can get enhanced with skill in S/4HANA.

As per my understandings one can start with open sap portal to get enrolled with course and achieve certification and what are the alternate ways by which they can gain more?

Any path way can be defined ?

Hi Shreenidhi,

To certain extent it depends on your current expertise. Based on the question, I assume you're a functional Consultant.

If you're a FI/CO Consultant: The Simple Finance is available in the market and deployed by some clients already. There are some training courses available by SAP.

If you're on the Logistics side, the 1511 was released to the clients but no training available to the consultants yet. The current plan is to have training courses available by Q2.2016.

The open courses are largely overview and cover features on a very broad and do not cover the config/setup aspects. They're for a broad range of audience: customers, users, consultants, architects, managers etc. However, suggest you to go through some of the relevant ones to you.

All you need to do keep looking for this space.

I plan to write a blog very soon on the planned modifications by SAP in S4H.

Trust this helps.

Regards

Raghu.

Hi Shreenidhi

You mentioned being an SD Consultant. There are lot of changes with S/4 HANA on the logistics side with 1511 release. Some of the early talks are available on the partner edge portal already and in case you are working with a SAP Partner, you should have access to the same. The help portal is already updated along with the simplification list

SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition – SAP Help Portal Page

Additionally, there is an online trial edition offered by SAP for the same for 30 days. You can always try hands on.

One of the blog by Somnath Manna should help answer the basic functionality in S/4 HANA from logistics perspectives.

If you are good at SD, trust me adopting S/4 HANA should not be difficult. You should be clear in basic processes and be proficient in integration because the simplification has been around the integration part the most, for eg, SD with MM, PP, CO and FI. There is a lot of content available and picking up the required skill set should not be a problem. At the end of day, change is continuous and imperative.

Thanks & Regards
