HI SAP TECHIES.
What is the right path to start a career in SAP BI/BO/HANA?
Below are few paths to start up kindly suggest for right one as a new bee in SAP.
1. BW/BI----->BO----->HANA ???
2. BO------>HANA ???
3. BI with BO----->HANA ???
4. BW powered by HANA----->BO ???
5.Is it mandatory to learn data warehousing concepts(BW/BI) firstly then go for BO then go for HANA???
6. Whats the link between SAP BW and SAP BODS(both are ETL as i heard)?is BW base of BODS or prefer BODS over BW(means something of replacement of BW/BI)??
Thanks

Option 5 is absolutely better.....
Learn one by one...
When you will expert BW/BI, then go for BO, and when you get the knowledge of BO also, then you can go for HANA.
Not like as the chain, you can also learn HANA first. But don't mixed each other and don't learn 4 modules at a time.

Yes the option 5 seems to be the better choice.Though it will take some time of yours to learn each of the technology but in a longer run you will have real good advantages,if you have insight of all the above mentioned tools and technologies.
For your 6th question you can search on forums you will get some real good points on both of them based on their flexibility and usage.

ABAP ---> BI --> BO --> HANA. This is Right path.
5.Is it mandatory to learn data warehousing concepts(BW/BI) firstly then go for BO then go for HANA??? ?: it's not mandatory , But if You learn BI it will be easy to learn BO & Hana.
6. Whats the link between SAP BW and SAP BODS(both are ETL as i heard)?is BW base of BODS or prefer BODS over BW(means something of replacement of BW/BI)??:
SAP BW & BODS : both are entirely different .
BODS : it is mainly used for extracting data From both SAP & non sap.
BW : will be preferred for SAP

Hi...
As the path you suggest start from abap.
In some part of BI abap use as i read in thread.
Can i learn BI directly only have the knowledge of abap(core) not full cover of abap?

Hi,
You do not require to learn the complete ABAP.
BI related ABAP will be enough to give you a kick start the as you progress further you can keep learning the new things.
To be very frank there is no end to learning.I strongly believe if your basics in any subject or technology is strong then learning high level concept would not be hard.

Every modules is little bit integrated with other modules..
No need to be an expert in abap to learn BI.
You can go directly BI modules.
BI/BW is much integrated modules.

BI and BO is also an integrated modules.
Its a very good option to learn BI with BO.
When you go for BI, many things will come from BO.
You can go ahead BI with BO.
And its also much demanded modules in market.

BI is known as BW now and BO has been named as BI.
So BW is like an ocean.
BI also have different tools like WebI---Xcelcius--Design Studio--Crystal Reports.
Learn step by step.Focus more on BW. Learning different tools in BI requires more hands on experience and practice.
You can get equipped with both the tools as they have great demand in market.
