Require Right path At Entry Level in SAP WORLD.....Please reply

Hi Friends,

I am Dhananjay Patil. I m automobile engineer (pass out 2011) , I have experience in production planning & procurement from one of best Earthmoving mfg  company but right now due to reason of recession i m jobless. Now i want to do SAP MM Module. Because of interest and want to do career in SAP world. But lots of blogs discouraging me to do sap. I am ready to do certification from authorized centers.  But please tell me right path........Can i go for certification or not? I require Job as well as best Industrial career boost up for my future progressive life. (also want to mention one my college classmate told me about SAP certification).

  • Little bit tired of all negative thoughts and blogs about SAP word, So need perfect path....
  • Is SAP world is really so bad for best career?
  • I know after certification i m am entry level person but also want to know that how to crack first entry in SAP world?
  • & If indian market is not so good for entry level then can i try to get job overseas for entry level job and how?

I don't want to get high paid salary job at entry level but want to do start of career as soon as possible......Because i think being a jobless is not worth of living with highend education. *Frustrated

Hi

SAP  is very very hot in Market...No technology can beat SAP.....

SAP HANA and SAP BODS...very hot in US...

SAP BI/BO  very hot in India.

Sorry to hear about your frustration. Let me congratulate you about thinking of learning new thing. First of all any career path you will choose it will get you what you want.Provided you are ready to walk in the right path with dedication and hard work, there is no substitution to this. continues learning is key to sustainability.

now coming back to SAP yes since you have some manufacturing experience you can either learn PP or MM module with respect to other modules you can learn pretty much any module you want. i suggested PP and MM because you have some relevant Production/manufacturing work experience.

Domain knowledge is very important in SAP career as it helps you understand the different business process and how do we map it in sap.

good luck for your future assignments and i hope you decide something and land a job quickly. In case you decided to pursue SAP career then first thing you do is join SCN forums for relevant like PP, MM or any other forum then go for certification.
