Welcome to SAP.

For module choose, You can choose a module as per your interest.

Each module has a different purpose for business process.

I suggest some modules, you can go with them.

MM, FI, SD.

Its totally depend on your interest.

If you are interest about business procurement, then go for MM module.

If you are interested about financial matter, then you can go for FI module.

If you are interested about Sales matter, then you can go for SD module.

Honestly saying All modules are running very well in SAP.

You can choose one of them as your base module, then you can learn little bit about other modules also.

There are a lots of modules in sap

  1. SAP FI Module- FI stands for Financial Accounting
  2. SAP CO Module- CO stands for Controlling
  3. SAP PS Module – and PS is Project Systems

  5. SAP PM Module – where Plant Maintenance is the PM
  6. SAP MM Module – MM is Materials Management -
  7. SAP QM Module -  QM stands for Quality Management

Both are equally good and related to each other, so pick any one..

Hi Srinivas,

As per your education your more opt to SAP FI module. its good option for as your from bcom and fi background. its easy to understand FI concepts and existed 2yrs aslo countable asFI domain exp.

Better to go FI Module.

About training its depend on your present work location. if your working at hyd, then find best sap authorized training institute and learn them. mean while keep practicing on ides version.

Thanks

Try to join any SAP authorized training institute, You can find those on Google,easily... At fresher level getting job in SAP Field is bit difficult but not impossible. Try to join any company, whether its big or small, get some experience and then try for big shots.

Dear, As per the SCN rule we should not write any institute name, here on SCN.

And one more think, if any institute is saying they will provide a job, once you completed your training from their institute, Ask them to give the same thing in written note, no institute will provide job to anyone, maximum they can arrange some interview invitation letter form companies.

I think FI or SD modules would suit your profile best. You have been a Sales manger in a Finance company, therefore just check the list given by Dev and see the best suiting module.

Business information is equally required for choosing a right SAP module

I'm afraid I cannot help you with the training centers but you should follow what others have suggested you. Look around as per your current location and job profile. DO some Google and you'll find plenty of option. You can then consult few and choose which is best for you.

Other than that, you can consult your existing SAP team (if available) for where to start thing, install IDES on your system, start exploring SCN for the FI scenario and basic documents.

Hi,

As already suggested, look for SAP authorized center's like Atos, Edrishyaa, Msource, Genovate.. Etc. but it all depends whether you would like to go for Online or Class room training, the difference is in the course fee.

Try to talk to the people around & select the center.

Thanks

Hi,tu

If you are looking for certification but you need to join  SAP authorized center & as Chandra rightly suggested that certificate gives you an edge over non certified but it doesn't guarantee you a job. Think & Act.

Chandra I didn't go through the reply provided by you that we are not supposed to write the name of the center's, will keep in mind in further discussions.

Thanks

Hi, It seems to me your profile is suitable for SD module. You can get certified from any authorized institute, further if getting a job after certification is your main concern, then you can opt for institute like NIIT. They do try to get you as many interviews as possible. Then your performance in the interview will be the deciding factor.

Members,

Some have suggested SD and MM!

working as a branch sales manager

How can you advise some one who has worked as a branch sales manager, in financial services to go for SD or MM?

Hi TW, According to me, sales of any product/services will be SD. MBA finance+selling financial products is mainly sales experience. Bcom & CA with work experience in accounting/ bookkeeping/ other finance areas will have required domain knowledge for FI module.

Hi,

You can google about the training institutes. Acc. to my experience I have heard Atos, Delphi, Genovate are centers who can provide the interview calls atleast. No one can guarantee  for the job bcoz it depends how you perform in the interview. But, companies go to SAP authorized education partners for freshers hiring.

Thanks,

Rajwinder
