Dear All...
My self Nagendra..working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in cement plant.I have 5 years of experience in maintenance side and i have also worked with SAP-PM module as an end user.Now I would like to focus on SAP-PM to choose my carrier in this sector.Can you please suggest me to how can I get into SAP and Is it really suitable for me??

Hi Negendra,
SAP Plant maintenance opportunities are less in market. So, you have to already worked on manufacturing industry, you can check SAP Production Planning too. Do some analysis, because choosing the right module will get SAP job soon. On the other side, SAP PM has less competition in market when you go for interview and you may get a job soon.
If you plan for certification in SAP authorized institute, they will try to convince you to take SAP MM or may SAP PP not in SAP PM. If you study SAP PP then after three years, you can learn SAP PM as well and this apply vice versa because both modules are tightly integrated.

Thank you for your valuable guidelines,how can I get certification in SAP !! presently I am working,Is there any possibility to get certification with out leaving my job!! I have seen some online programs which are offering by different institutes.Please do needful.

Dear Nagendra,
You cannot write SAP Certification if you are in India, unless you take training from SAP / Authorised Training Partners.
Without leaving your job, you can opt for e-learning (Online Training) from SAP, where you can learn on your pace and appear for the Certification.
