HI Sunil,

Your friends/colleagues would have suggested you FI may be because you graduated in Commerce. Now, its up to you to decide which module you would like to pursue. It is good to have programming knowledge in general for anyone working with computers as it makes many things easy to understand but if you don't have any experience in programming then nothing to worry. You can learn BO/BI or ABAP if you have the interest and inclination and you are ready to work hard.

Thank you,

Hi Nagarajan,

Thanks for your reply. I have around 5 years of experience, but in non technical field. Now if I start with BO/BI, will it be difficult for me to get a job as a fresher.

Thanks,

Hi Sunil,

The over all job market isn't great as once it was but it is not that bad too. There are many people who have taken training and passed the certification and are fresher but they haven't found any job yet.I would not say that it's easy to get a job after training & certification for a fresher but don't let that discourage you. HANA is the new in-memory database from SAP and many BI consultants are learning it as HANA would be the default DB for almost all products of SAP in the future. Take sometime and see what BO and BI are about and get the feel of it. Keep reading the different articles/blogs/documents posted on SCN and make good network with people who are technical and functional consultants. Try to make a good network with consultants and browse the job portals and see which company is giving opportunities for freshers. Don't quit your current job till you get a break in SAP. Do some research and learn how SAP helps companies to run their business better and try to have a good knowledge of business functions as it will always help you. If you like BI over other modules then you can go for it,

Thank you,
