Prerequisites for learning SAP PI(Process Integration)

hi all,

i am (MCA) a software engineer working on ASP.NET and i would like to start carrer in sap.

I am thinking to do do either SAP-PI or SAP(BI-BW).

Please tell me

1. which is better among the both.

2. what are the basic concepts or knowledege needed to learn SAP-PI or SAP(BI-BW).

3.which is easy to learn and requires less duaration.

4. is java must be known to do SAP PI(Process Integration)?

I am in great confusion, your valuable suggestions would help me a lot.

Better in terms of what? salary, job opportunities, type of work, visibility?

PI requires some basic understanding of XML/WSDL,Java,ABAP.

Depends upon several factors, once you start liking the subject, it should be fairly easy to learn.

It is not a must but basic understanding of Java always helps.

Thanks Amir for your suggestions. I request all of you to suggest me which module among these (SAP PI, BI-BW, ABAP) will be better in chances of getting job with good salary. Please bear with me, i really want to take a good start in my carrer. please help.
