Hi All,

I have knowledge on sap ABP / HR ABAP and PI. Currently I am working as PI Consultant. Does PI have demand in market. As per my seniors they are telling ABAP is better than other modules. More opportunities compared to PI also ABAPers get job easily always in demand and highly paid. Please guide me whether I go with PI or ABAP. I am 2+.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rashmi

as far as I've been working, in my opinion the 'mixed' profile ABAP+PI is the more versatile one. But more based on PI. I mean, once you've design and develope the interfases and processes, if you're also ABAP capable you're going to achieve more efficient solutions. Also for support projects that mixed role is quite demanded. But be aware that if you want to be a PI guru, the ABAP part must decrease in your competencies as your career goes forward.

cheers,

Edu

Hi,

there is always more work in ABAP then PI but you can always do both things - PI and ABAP - both things you can learn pretty well within 4-6 years - it's like knowing SD and MM in module world...best to know more then one
